Hi Don:

Icom offers the OPC-599 Acc 1 & Acc 2 to 13 pin adapter cable.
Universal Radio sells it for about $45.00. This cable provides the
"old" Acc 1 & Acc 2 ports that are on the back of the bigger radios -
735, 746, 756 Pro, etc.

Also, you will need the OPC-118 cable or a replacement as offered by W2ENY a=
t:

The OPC-118 replacement will connect to the OPC-599 and will allow
you to use the 706MKIIG with either the IC-2KL or the AT-500.

Of course, if you are going to use both amp and tuner, you will need
the cable to go between those two units. Don't remember the
nomenclature for that cable.

It would be easy enough to build your own cable like W2ENY sells.
There is no RADSHACK or other parts outlet in my island town, so I
just ordered his, and it works fine.

Personally, I wouldn't try to build the OPC-599. $45 it a bit spendy,
but I don't think my eyes would make the grade on assembling the
smaller connector :)

Hope this helps.
