I personally love the PS 125 supplies, I think it is one of the better ones
ever built. I have replaced almost all my other Icom supplies with them.
They take up a lot less space and are very quite, I seldom hear the fan.
At last count I have 21 of them.

I think that I have missed the point about the PS-125 power cable.
I think that it is exactly the right length. It goes from the power supply
to the radio with no wasted extra cable laying about. The supply is designed
to be placed on one side of the radio and the matching speaker on the other
side. The PS-125 is extremely quiet both electrically and acoustically. I
can't recall ever hearing the fan run except in an absolutely silent room,
which my shack is not.
So, to me the cable is just another part of a truly elegant design, using
the word in the engineering sense: just enough to do the job at the lowest
cost consistent with the quality.
If you don't like having the supply next to the radio, the cable is long
enough to permit hiding it back behind the radio out of the way.
What's the problem? <:}
