The problem is I don't want the PS-125 on the desk and Icom supplies too
short a cable. So, I want to and have asked for suggestions about extending
the cable. George, W5YR, instead of telling me, or others who have also
indicated it is too short for them, it is just right for you, how about
giving us some hints on where to get connectors to extend the cable. The
proper place for this power supply in my shack is under the table. It
obviously is not the same for you.

Hello Charlie and the group,

Sometimes table space is at a premium. Space right next to the radio
is often best used by other devices with controls you wish to operate,
or displays you want to see easily.

To make an extension cable, you can buy all the connector parts from
Icom. At least one number for the socket is 6510003780, connector
LLR-06, which is the one that's normally in the radio. Since the
connectors on the power cables are usually pretty much the same as
panel connectors, with heat shrink to protect the back, that'll do
nicely. That may not include pins, so you might have to ask Icom
parts to figure that out for you, but I'll bet they can do that
easily.

I don't have the information right to hand about the other end, the
end of the extension cable that actually plugs into the radio, but
that's common, and I suspect that, again, Icom parts can tell you
those numbers, too.

I've not looked inside a PS-125, so I don't know what it would take to
replace the pigtail with a longer one. Or you could chop the existing
pigtail and splice in more wire.
