I think the low output results from reactance in the bandpass filter which is 
used up to 6 MHz.  It passes 75~80 meters OK, even MARS just above 4 MHz, but 
falls off above 5 MHZ.  Not sure that the 40 M BPF would be better for 60 
Meters either.  Haven't heard of any mods--yet.
