Now that I've gotten over the initial period of being occupied with my new
ICOM toy, (IC-703) I realized that this radio did not come with a warranty
card.. Further more, there is no mention of warranty any where in the user
manual.. I also checked the manual for my IC-746 and the same thing, no
mention of warranty.I never gave this much thought before as I bought this
radio used I've searched the internet and still no mention of the ICOM
warranty for amateur radio equipment.. So what's up with ICOM, what is the
warranty for amateur radio equipment. Have they stopped including warranty
cards? Other companies put the warranty info right up front so this seems
like a strange way for ICOM to handle things.
Also, what is the situation with ICOM warranties if equipment is purchased
in another country, how does that reflect on the warranty. I'm thinking of
buying from the US, will the warranty be good in Canada? My last Yaesu rig
had a warranty card that clearly stated, "USA and Canada).. What about
ICOM's warranty?? A question for ICOM Canada but I would also like to hear
other users comments on this.
Thanks for you input on this..
