[Icom] ICOM 706MKIIG Price

I suspect that ICOM might be lowering the price because of the TS-0000 (new
rig) that is scheduled out from Kenwood. The new KW rig is 200 watts, 160
to 6 meters, but with digital filters and DSP. Ten-Tec was investigating
doing a big brother to the new Argonaut which has digital filters, but only
20 watts. Not much for mobile.

I wonder if ICOM is planning an upgrade for the 706 ? If they're planning a
706 with the same features as the MK2G - but with digital filters - it would
blow the wheels off of the competition.

AND if they could manage a sub receiver so that the rig could be used for
satellite - I think the entire ham population would buy one after they got
revived from shock!
