[Icom] 756 Pro II and lightening

Hi group -
Florida again proved  to be electrically hazardous. A strike here took out
the NIC cards in 2 computers. More seriously, my new PRO II doesn't talk to
the computer. I'm hoping it's the interface cable. Any way to test that
besides a different cable?
Even MORE serious, the S-meter seems dead, and recieve sensitivity seems a
bit low. The scope doesn't show much either. All other functions seem OK. I
did a reset - no help. Anything else I can try before packing her off for
repair? Any reccomendations for a shop here on the right coast?
