Yes, it is special.  Specially priced.  Icom wants you to feel you got your 
moneys worth when you pay for it.  Actually, no, there is nothing special 
to it other than the price tag Icom hangs on it!!!  Find the parts at a 
fest and even with buying a new modular crimping tool you can do it cheaper.
