Hi John.
Boy you sure get a lot of kenwood tribanders. You should have known about 6 
mtr  ant being long.  all you need is a 5/8 wave 2 meter ant. that equals a 
quarter wave on 6 meters. It should work fine. other wise you would need to put a 
54 inch wip on your bike which is no big deal.
In any case if you still don't want it I have a pair of icom 2GAT 2 meter 
HT's I also have a pair of 4GAT 440 mhz HT's they each have a manual and antenna. 
They will need new batteries the old batteries are dead.
would you be interested in trading for either pair????
