Hi Bill,

Have you tried calibrating the tuner at a midband frequency in each band,
with a 50-ohm dummy load at the output?

The calibration procedure consists of turning both pots until both LED's go
out. As I recall, you will need to switch the AUTO/PRESET slide switch to
PRESET to perform the cal. 21.2 MHz is a good choice for the 18/21 MHz
range.

When calibrated, the tuner should have less than 1dB insertion loss.
