Hi Andy,
As far as I am aware, IC-756's with S/N > 2000 should not develop this
problem. I had an IC-756., S/N 26XX, for about 2 1/2 years, and never saw
lines on the screen.
Trading up to a good, clan "original" IC-756Pro does make a lot of sense,
though.
