I own a 736R along with some of the 75 series. The 736R is a good rig for
home use but using it outside as I do during 'tests the display is very hard
to read. That is my only problem with the 736R. It is a nice unit with 4
bands and mine works very well during 'tests along with some amps. For
compactness it is very nice VS the 4 rig setup of the 75 series and less
expensive. And Icom guys don't flame me as I own and have owned many of the
fine 75 series and I am sorry I sold my 275A a few years back. I've got at
least 6 Icom rigs in the shack at any given time including a IC375 which is
not for sale. If space is an issue the 736R is a good choice. The multi rig
setup of the Icoms is nice, especially if you have the 100W units. They have
very sensitive receivers and seem to work forever. My 2 cents. 73. Rick,
