[Icom] Mic plugs

Hi all,
I am sure this has come up before I was on the list.  Does anyone know of a=
=20
place to get the 8 pin connector that is used on the 8 pin to J45 mic=20
adapter?  If it is too costly, the next question is, how hard is it to get=
=20
a J45 plug onto the mic cord?  I have seen the crimping tools used by=20
telephone and computer wiring guys and thought I would buy one and by pass=
=20
the 8 pin adapter altogether.  What has been the experience, has anyone=20
done that?  Is it a viable option?
