I just saw this e-mail as I was away for Xmas. I often ask for a package to
be shipped by Canada post ONLY or do not send it . When you stop laughing
here are my reasons. If it comes by a courier you will need to be home when
it comes , I work to keep the federal government in operation ( pay taxs)
and do not stay at home all day long . I have had things sent back because I
was not home . Next point have you ever tied to phone the local courier
company . Not the massive head office but the one you could drive to pick up
sometime bet you can't. Canada post charges only the $5 to handle the paper
work. I have had things come by courier where the handling fees were more
than the cost of the item. Sometimes a brokerage house in Ontario they will
send you a notice that you have a package and they will not release it until
you give them a credit card number over the phone ( do I look stupid) If you
do not they will send the package back to where it came from, had it happen
. Give me a real person a Canada post please . Here is an other tip if you
EVER send anything back to the US for repair and the insurance replacement
cost is put on the outside of the package then you will pay the GST again
for that package. You can get the GST but its an uphill fight believe me.
This is why I check www.ebay.ca first
