[Icom] Ic-746 Distorted audio

Thanks for the help. Replacing the power cable fixed the low power output problem but I still have distorted audio. Turning the compresor on made an extremely small reduction in the distortion but not much. However, the background noise is terrible. This is background noise that I have never had before. The radio sounds great on FM.  This problem is only on SSB.
