Yes Mike, the BP-4 is (was) the only battery case I know of for the old Icom
"brick" handhelds like the AT's, 0xAT's, and GAT's. I have several and they all
take the same battery packs. A few notes though, the 2AT's did not have voltage
regulation built in so they will not work properly ( or not work at all) if more
than 12Vdc is applied. This was corrected in the 02AT, 03AT, 04AT, etc. I found
some of the Periphex aftermarket BP-8S (super big) packs and had new 12Vdc
inserts assembled by the Nicdlady. These packs are now 2200mAhr NiMh packs and
they last for weeks between charges! This can be done easily with other Icom,
Periphex, or RS packs such as the BP-5, BP-7, BP-8, and others.
