[Icom] Rig advice

This is my personal opinion. 90% of my activity is contesting. I have 765
and use it from home. Club station got a pair of original 756 and I use them
when at the club. I would not trade 765 for 756 because IMHO 765 with some
mods being once one of the flagships of Icom is much better receiver then
756 and much more suitable for contests. ProII must be one good radio (never
used one, only worked with PRO) but based on my experience with DSP in
contests,that includes use of TS870, FT1000MP, 756PRO (especially 160 and 80
meters) I am pretty convinsed that good analog filters are better then
today's DSP filtering technology. It may change in the future (although I am
not 100% sure) but it did not happen yet. Again what I said is only
applicable to contesting and DXing may be somewhat different. But contesting
is what I do.
