Sorry, missed that.
Normally, one would expect at least one direction to work -- either sending
commands to the radio and seeing it respond, or having the radio in
CIV-Transceive mode so that QSYing it generates outgoing commands displayed
by Commander. Is either direction working?
Have you verified that your RS232-to-TTL level converter is working in both
directions?
CI-V is just an open-collector TTL bus; do you have access to an
oscilloscope?

Thanks for the email .. however it would seem that the fault is in the
actual ci-v interface itself.
btw .. I tried Commander about 3 a.m. this morning right before I gave
up and quit. :)
I guess what I'm fishing for is help in troubleshooting the ci-v
interface on the rig.
