Hi Everyone,

Having recently acquired a PS-125 from a fellow who got one with his new Pro
II and did not need it, I decided to see if I could improve on the noisy fan
commented on by many of late.

Following Matt-KK5DR's mod I installed a 50 ohm 3 watt resistor in the
supply line of the fan but I also replaced the fan (per the latest review in
Eham) with a Mouser #664-D6020MX-12V, a drop-in substitute for the original
fan in the unit at a cost of $9.62.

It is an easy mod but is tedious with several dozen screws to remove to gain
access.

Results? Greatly improved and reduced fan noise with the modified PS-125.

I am very pleased with these mods and the PS-125 supply overall.
