[Icom] Problem with IC-251A

Maybe. Using memory from LONG ago, which may be clouded.... there is one
diode in the PLL circuit labeled IC-251(A) only or some such ident. It is
D-52 I THINK..... but could be wrong. I would check it first. Remove it
from a 251A, and you have a 251E, the European 2 MHz (144-146) unit. If not
the diode, something in that circuit maybe.
If I am totally off base, sorry. It has been MANY years since I dug into
it, and I could be totally off! At least you didn't lose any money on my
suggestion.
