Mel,
You are 100% correct. The UX-14PX provides an RJ-45 jack, as well as a
"UX-14 Style" 1/8" audio jack on the rear apron of the rig.
A cable is supplied that connects the RJ-45 to a DB9 connector for the
computer COM port, so there is no need for the CT-17 level converter. If you
use a UX-14PX fitted radio in an existing station already using a CT-17 and
multiple CI-V rigs, you can simply connect from the rig to the CT-17 in the
normal way, via the 1/8" jack.
