Tom,
I was using a set of Kenwood HS-5 and switched to a set of Sony MDR-V6. A
world of difference for these old ears. On my Yaesu Mark V if I enable both
VFO's to the same receive freq. the weak stations pop out of the background
noise. There was no difference with the Kenwoods. The price was ~ $100.00 at
Fry's, a bit high but worth the difference in audio and comfort. Go to E-Ham
