[Icom] Power supply grounding

I am rearranging my station and noticed that I have the negative terminal of
my Astron power supply (which is normally floating) grounded to the case.
the case is grounded to the station ground.  My IC-756ProII is also grounded
to the station ground. I am sure I did this on advice from somewhere.  Is
this a good idea?
