[Icom] 746PRO questions

The 746PRO manual is a bit sketchy in a couple of areas. Perhaps some
of you may be able to answer some of these questions:

1) The accessory connectors are well-documented, but the data
connector is not. Is it active only on 2 meters? Or maybe only on FM?
What are the levels? 

2) The manual says the compressor is turned off in ssb data mode, but
the annunciator stays on. Is the compressor really off?

3) Is there any way to get the decoded RTTY out to a terminal or PC?
If so, it would be possible to work RTTY without a TU.

4) What connector is needed for the CIV computer interface? I plan to
breadboard my own; sufficient information for this is available.

5) An answer, in case anyone is interested. Icom was not able to
answer this question: what is the center (audio) frequency in data
modes? Answer: 1500 Hz, adjustable plus or minus half the bandwidth
currently selected. This info is needed if you are going to operate
data modes.
