Hi John,
This came up a while ago on rec.radio.amateur.antenna.  It was determined 
to be an injector pu;se noise and if I remember correctly the solution was 
to shield the injector wiring.  I don't remember the details but a google 
of the group would give you other people that dealt with the same problem.
