The issue of "approved radios" and their frequency
stability has a lot to be ignored unless, of course, they
are being procured by a government agency.  I am active
in AF MARS, and so far big brother hasn't bothered me, or
any other MARS members that I know of...    73  Clete

P.S.  The mod is easy if you can work with surface mounted
diodes the size of a grain of salt.
