I gave up replacing filament lamps in my radios.  They generate heat and
don't last too long.

I use high-brightness, colourless LEDs which come in all shapes and sizes.
Select an LED that matches the physical dimensions of your lamp, measure the
lamp voltage and calculate the appropriate dropping resistor.  You will do
the job for the last time.

I would like to buy lamps for my IC-761.  It sounds like using RS 272-1141A
have an early failure.  I'm new to this net.  Would someone explain Lamp
issue to me.  I'm assuming Icom has a problem supplying lamps.
