Hi Folks,

Well, I have been doing some more testing on the ailing 761. Here is what I
have found so far.

The drive idle current is way out of spec. It was set at 500 mils and had
about 40 watts output. It will not adjust below 240 Mils and results in
zero power out.

With the idle current at 300 mils there is about 5 watts output. The power
output adjust will not raise it above the 5 watts. It will take it to zero
however. When the pot is turned back up there is NO power out at all until
the TR switch is cycled and then it comes back.

The 50/100 watt switch has NO effect at all.

I am beginning to suspect the final output transistors are gone.

There is no PO on AM at all...

Anyone have any good ideas for me? I sure wish it had 6146's in it Ha Ha.

Thanks
