It's a real pain in the %$#@* to replace the display bulbs in any on the x75 
series radios. I've had to do it several times in my 575. I have the service 
manual for the 575 and it was not a lot of help.

Just start disassembling the radio and remove the front panel. Then remove the 
small screws that secure the silver shield to the back of the front panel. Next 
remove as many of the connecting cables as you have to gain access to the bulb
(s) that are burned out. I have never had to remove all of them but the more 
you remove the better access you will have. It may be that you may have to 
remove connecting cables to gain access to the screws as well, but once you get 
into it you see what has to be done.
