[Icom] Broken 746 NR Button?

Hi John,
The snap disc (spring) in the small switch behind the button is probably
broken. You will need to replace the switch; this entails removing the front
panel, removing the Front Unit board from the panel and replacing the switch
on the PC board. You can order a replacement switch from Icom Parts.
I would recommend that you pick up a service manual before tackling this
project (unless you already have one).

I could use a little help from the group. I'm looking at a
used IC-746 that seems to have a problem with the NR
button. Unlike all the other buttons, which activate above
the surface of the faceplate and make a little click when
pushed, the NR button doesn't activate the NR function
unless it's depressed below the surface of the faceplate.
And, even then, it doesn't make any kind of click.
Is anyone else's noise reduction button like this, or is
there something wrong with this radio?
