[Icom] SM20 with W2IHY 8 band equaliser

Hi OM,

I have just by chance read the product review of the W2IHY 8 band mic 
equaliser in www.eham.net .  Surprisingly, over 95% of the reviews give a 5 
out of 5 marking.

I have entirely no idea about this equaliser because it is not popular in 
Hong Kong.  Since SM20 has already had mic gain control and low cut switch 
and my IC756 has manual adjustment on the TX trebile and bass, will there 
be any advantage in using this equaliser? Bearing in mind the price of the 
equaliser is over $200.

Can any of you give me some views?
