Hi Bill,

When the red light is on, the timer is active. To deactivate the timer,
press the red button briefly. The red light will go out.

To configure the timer, go to SET/TIME menu.

As for dipping and loading the final: In the words of the immortal Burger
King commercial, "We do it all for you!" (in the autotuner, that is).

Cheers for now, 73,
Adam VA7OJ/AB4OJ

Hello Stan and all on the list
This post got me to thinking. I have a brand new 756 PRO and I just got it
hooked up this week, it is my first brand new rig since about 1980 and I am
used to Collins and Drake rigs and a Ten-Tec or two but never such a rig as
the PRO.
The red light on the power switch has been on since I first hooked it up. I
was listening to it the other night and after a few min it just turned off
for no reason.
I turned it back on and it came right back on ok. It did the same thing
tonight and it came right back on when I hit the power switch. The red light
was on, and I just assumed it was a pilot light like I am used to.
Well, I just went back in and turned on the Icom PS and the rig came on by
itself without pushing the power switch. After reading this post, I just
pushed the switch for a split second and the red light went off and the rig
stayed on fine.
Is what I was experiencing connected with the fact that the red light was
on?
It sure is hard to dip the final and tune the load on it however, hi hi. Aw
what the heck, I am just too old to do that anymore anyway.
Thanks
