I downloaded the schematic for the IC706MkII and when I unzipped it, it was 
a DJVU file.  Having never heard of such, I did a search on Google and 
found a plugin for it.  I downloaded that and installed.   Now it opens but 
is only gibberish.

Any suggestions, anyone?
