Eric,
How much are you looking to get out of the 970?
I don't really need one any more than you probably do, but it might be
fun to put one next to my IC 781. Shoot me a price.

Subject: [Icom] Icom 970A w/ UX-R96rx and 2x UT34, UT36

Hello All;

I have an Icom IC-970A (25w w/ PS) that could pass for "brand new in the

box".
It has the following options installed:

UX-R96 50-950MHz receiver module
2 - UT34 tone squelch boards (main & sub locations)
1 - UT36 voice synthesizer board
MB34 rack mount handles

I may be incorrect on the exact option numbers, but the descriptions are

correct.

The radio has very few hours on it and not a scratch on it. I bought it
new
along with the accessories back in the days when my friend was an Icom
dealer
and I had to have one of everything! I have the original boxes, the
manual is
in the original bag unmarked, etc. It could pass for new. I also have an
Icom
IC765 option-loaded sitting next to it that is also rarely used and
looks
nice sitting next to it if anyone is looking for an as-new IC765. There
is a
link off of my call on QRZ to my somewhat outdated web page which shows
a pic
of my shack while reorganizing it after selling some other gear.

I am in no rush to sell the 970, but seeing what they are going for
nowadays,
maybe I'll turn it into some cash to refill my stock market account :(

Seems as though my interest in ham radio is dropping off. Maybe that
will
change with the cold weather approaching!

If anyone has an interest, feel free to email me. I am not looking to
"give"
it away, but the right person will appreciate it's condition. I can
provide
references of those who know how I handle/treat my equipment and
purchased
from me before. I had the entire 275-1275 setup which I sold to one ham
who
can attest to the condition they were in when he purchased them. If you
collect Icom gear, this is probably the finest 970 you will find. I will

guarantee the radio is 100% as stated.

73,
Eric
