Fw: [Icom] IK4L Repairs info price to repair ! ! !

I talked to  Icom service and parts today and glad I was sitting down when I
got the news of the price to change the high current switching supply in the
power supply unit,
you can see that it is blown when taking the cover off carbon and copper on
the side panel inside the unit   THE PRICE TO REPLACE THE UNIT IS OVER 3.4K
bux.
    I know that at the time they dicontinued the 4KL it was aroung 10k bux
another ouch.Sooooo I,ll look for a used 4kl or Think about the PW1 I doubt
be able to find a 4KL with blown amp. deck so could buy for the power supply
unitI have seen 4KLs going in 4K+ price.
