This probably won't help you but there is a reason that 220/240V equipment has ganged
breakers (most local codes require it). An overload condition with separate breakers
nearly always only blows 1 breaker and still leaves 110/120V power connected to the
equipment which can be a safety issue. Mechanically ganged breakers force both sides
of the line to open if either/both connections experience an overload. Anyway my
comment is that you really can't read anything into the fact that only 1 breaker blew.
