[Icom] IC-706 MkII FM receive problem possible solution

Good idea, Stephen, but my 706 MK2 is the opposite.
The radio is squelched in the CLOCKWISE position.
Maximum RF gain is at ten o'clock.

I had a similar problem in that the radio went dead in
AM position. The squelch was fully clockwise. That was
the result of a habit of keeping RF gain controls
fully clockwise and forgetting that the 706 is
different.
