Hi Bert,

The difference in part number could be a number of things, ie: different =
manufacturer, different length or even different gauge. Icom uses the =
same pin out for all there radios. at least since the 725.

  Subject: [Icom] DC Power Cable

It is said the only stupid question is the question that isn't asked
just prior to "smoking" an expensive radio so here goes.
I have a DC Power Cable for an ICOM 735.I am looking to use it with =
my
  ICOM 706MKIIG.
I have checked and double checked the polarity of the socket on the =
706
and have done the same with the polarity of the end of the 735 cable.I
am convinced they are the same.
I looked up the part numbers for a 706 cable as well as a 735 cable =
and
  they are different
  What am I missing?

  Thanks...Bert W1DFU
