Read the FAQ on the Icom web site. Notice what happens
when you try to use it on the 220 band.

You may be OK operating close to an amateur band for
which the radio was intended, but curious problems may
develop on fequencies far removed.

Don't try to work an AM broadcast station. They won't QSL.
