[Icom] Code Warrior Jr.

Look at the key and be sure that the contacts are in the proper position - I
bet the contacts have turned and are shorting against the block - The screws
for the code warrior are really too short and the wire ends and lugs
sometimes let the blocks that the screws go into move and allow the blocks
to get out of position - there should be a contact post on the lever that
moves and on the block that is supposed to be stationary and they need to
meet properly - they must face each other - Let me know if that is not the
problem

The plug usually uses the tip for dots the next for dahs and the biggest
part for ground - but you probably do not have that problem - touch the
wires to the contacts and test it before trying to install them permanently

Good Luck
Sorry you had the trouble

Hi,
Three wires, one is common ground, one for dot and one for dash contact.
You're permanently shorting dash wire to ground at the moment.

get is dahs. The plug that I bought with it has red, white, and blue wires.
The diagram for wiring on the key has ground, black and white on the back of
the key. Probably just a matter of getting the right wires in place but does
any body know the quick answer? TIA
