Daniel,
I am in the process of changing the plastic trimmers now. I did not
completely remove the shield cover, but bent it back enough to pull the
plastic trimmers out. Use plenty of de-soldering braid to get the cover
off and to remove the parts. I had changed out the other electrolytics
earlier. My display was very erratic. The only trimmer I have had
trouble with was the lower frequency one, but I am going to change out
all of them.
Good luck,
73,
Marsh NC7V

>Any suggestion/recommendation regarding this or other issue in my 751A repair, will be greatly appreciated, given the fact I am on the side of the world and service for old radios is not easy to come by, oddly enough, you can get any kind of new stuff & technology repaired.
>I have been living with this problem for a while now, always waiting for the radio to settle down before using it, but it is becoming worse and very annoying so I just have to do the Icom suggested fix I found on their site, very common for these radios as I learned afterwards. Other than that, I am very happy with my radio and would never think of selling it.
