Hi Bob,

You will need to cut off the 4-pin plug from the MC-50 cord, and rewire the
cord to an 8-pin mic plug as shown here:

http://www.qsl.net/ab4oj/icom/heilsound/icom_mic.html

As the MC-50 is a dynamic microphone, a 0.47 uF ceramic or tantalum
capacitor is required between Pin1 and the hot side of the MC-50 element (if
tantalum, (+) towards radio). The purpose of this capacitor is to block the
+8V polarising voltage which is present on Pin 1.

I just acquired a Kenwood Model MC-50 at a Hamfest. Has anyone out there
adapted this mike to the 756 Pro 2? Any pertinent information would be
appreciated
