No, I don't have a different mike to try. I wish there was someone in
the area that had an ICOM 725 I could test my mike on. This area is a
technological wasteland. When you say "hi tech" they think you are
talking about the Model A Ford. I called the ICOM distributor in Dallas
and asked him if they could test my mike and they responded that they
didn't do that sort of thing. All he is interested in is selling rigs.
