[Icom] Mobile Noise Supression - Final Chapter

Just a few extra cents...

I have a Nissan (SE V6 PU) with bad fuel pump noise. HF is totally
useless in the truck. I also have a Mazda with the same problem. Both
Mazda and Nissan know nothing about fixing it..in fact Nissan refused to
acknowledge any problem existed. Mazda is related to Ford Ranger. Ford
does have a fix. I purchased the Ford filter...tried to have Mazda
install it but they wouldn't touch it. Ford said since the Ranger and
Mazda were cousins they'd install it ($130+ parts). Worked like a
champ. Noise went from s9 about s2-3. Was expensive way to go but
cheaper than having to buy a new truck just to work mobile!! I'm going
to purchase another Ford filter and have a local garage install in on
the Nissan to see if it works there. The filter was about $70.

I'm looking at buying a new rig...maybe Subaru (Alaska) but haven't
heard if anyone has had noise problems with them. Would be nice to find
out which rigs are the noisy ones before you buy them.
