The Iridium Satellite constellation is alive and well.

There are several Iridium service providers in the USA
at this time. The old service was bought out by
Iridium Satellite Service, LLC about a year ago.
Please see my post on the Motorola QTH site. There may
be some confusion about these phones, but Motorola
still sells them and there are supposed to be over
300,000 in use right now all around the world. G
