I do leave the AH-4 in line when using the Hustler on 75 meters and I think
that the combo tunes across the entire band (the antenna is resonated at
3842 MHz which is my morning net frequency). I ran some tests with distant
stations and got better reports with the tuner in than with it out. As far
as high current problems are concerned, I am not aware of any. My rig is
installed in a 1994 Ford F-150 pickup and I have no ignition, alternator,
fuel pump or other noise problems and no RF problems in the vehicle. I have
the radio head remotely mounted and the tuner is under the bed of the truck
about a foot foward of the base of the antenna which is mounted on the rear
bumper. The tuner is connected to the antenna with a short piece of #12
wire.

I am very pleased with this installation and enjoy fine mobile ops with it.
