I have a new one.  Use an swr meter to check power output, 85 watts on cw.
On usb there is no ALC indication (even with mike gain set to 9 by menu), but 
there is a little movement on the swr meter.  With COM (compressor) on and 
the mike gain set to 5,  the ALC indicates midrange on the front panel, and 
there is very evident power output on the swr meter.
Is this normal?  Do I need a cure for this, or is there one?  Should I send 
it back for repair?  Should I use it with COM and not worry about it?  Thanks 
for any advice.
