to you about the new one=2E I am hesitant about getting another new one a=
s
there is something inherantly wrong with a mike that blows out the element=

under normal use so I would prefer to install a new element in the old one=
=2E
But if I cannot get it to work I will contact you=2E

Subject: [Icom] Help for ICOM HM-12 Microphone

I pulled the microphone apart and discovered what appears to be an electre=
t
element so I tried putting in an electret from Radio Shack when I found th=
e
red wire had 8=2E0 Volts coming through a 1K resistor it seemed to match t=
he
schematic for an electret mike=2E After puting it back together using the=
 RS
element and a =2E047 cap in series to the audio line I had modulation once=

again, so I think I am on the right track, but it is very low output=2E

So I need some advice or I still need a HM-12 mobile mike for the ICOM 725=
