Another 765 factoid:
Use a radioshack # 272-1141 bulb to replace the meter lamp
in an Icom 765. It's a 12v lamp, but works fine on the 14vdc supply
without drawing excessive current or blowing out. Current draw
is 25mA. I've replaced several, and they work fine. Just slide the
leads into the rubber lamp grommet, solder in place.
Should work behind other analogue meters with a 14vdc supply. I
put one in a 751 last week and it is working great.
