Mike, it is not my display that is flickering but just the S-meter lamp. I
think it can be replaced easily. Oh, for the day of the old GE-47 with its
bayonet base...hi.

Hi Jim
The 746 is on it's way to Texas (Avvid) with a similar
problem. The display flickered a few times, and then
a few days later went completely dark. If I leave it on
about 24 hours, then it comes back on halfway decent,
but not all the way. Guess that may be a problem
area for rigs with displays like that. I saw a 756 Pro 2
at the Icom booth at the Ft. Wayne hamfest this
past weekend, and that one is really slick! I would
imagine the whole radio is really slick too. Take
care...73 Mike

The S-meter lamp in my IC-756PRO is flickering very badly and I assume it is
about to go out. Can someone tell me what the replacement specs are so I can
get one before I take the rig apart?
Thank you...
